GUWAHATI: Speaking at the Budget 2019-20 meeting, Himanta Biswa Sarma said Assam is in a “comfortable position” in regards to the outstanding debt considered.
“With debt near 18% of GSDP and the interest payment below 6% of Revenue Receipts, our debt is both low and sustainable by any prudential yardstick,” he tweeted.
The Assam Budget 2019-20 session is currently ongoing at the State Legislative.
