GUWAHATI: Assam along with the other northeastern states is likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall with likely thunderstorms over the next few days, as per an official report from RWFC, Guwahati (Regional Weather Forecasting Centre) on August 10.
On August 10, thunder and lightning with heavy rain are anticipated across most areas of the Northeast including Assam.
Continuing into August 11, Assam can anticipate thunder and lightning with heavy to very heavy rain across most areas of the Northeast including Assam.
August 12 will see heavy to very heavy rainfall in most areas. An orange alert has been issued for the state of Arunachal Pradesh for August 11 and 12.
As the weather pattern progresses into August 13, most of the northeastern states will witness heavy rainfall along with Assam.
The rainfall trend subsides on August 13, with most places in Assam and other states with clear skies, the forecast report stated.
