GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam conducted a raid early this morning of May 18, in Khatkhati, Karbi Anglong, and seized heroin along with the apprehension of the individual involved.

The raid was conducted at the rented house of the suspect Yasser Ahmed in Balijan, Khan Basti, resulting in the recovery of 11 tobacco boxes containing suspected heroin, weighing a total of 72.5 gram, ₹6,500 in cash, and one mobile phone used by the apprehended individual.
Additionally, the suspect Yunis Ali, a 27-year-old resident of Lamabasti was apprehended in connection to the raid.
Following the raid, the necessary formalities are being carried out by the police of Khatkhati Police Station. This includes detailed interrogation and further investigation to trace the network and potential accomplices involved in the drug trade.
