Assam: Guidelines For TET Examination Announced

GUWAHATI: The Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 will be held across 33 districts on November 10, 2019. 

Notably, the examination for the Lower Primary section will start at 8:30 AM while the examination for the Upper Primary section will begin at 12:30 PM across the state.

Here are a few guidelines issued by the Assam government for the examination:

> All candidates of Assam TET 2019 will have to sign their answer scripts or else they will be considered absentees. This decision was taken at a meeting of the state Education Department held at the office of the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA).

> Deputy commissioners, sub-divisional officers (civil) and the respective police stations of the districts will take care of the security of the examination centres.

> The result of this examination will be valid for seven years from the date of the announcement.

> All candidates who cleared TET last time and those whose certificates have expired will have to appear in the examination again.

It is to be mentioned that the last date to apply for Assam TET 2019 for physically challenged candidates has been extended and desired candidates can apply until September 27, 2019. 

Currently, 17,292 posts are lying vacant across Assam of which 10,137 are in the lower primary level and 7,155 posts are in the upper primary level.
