Assam Govt Provides Free Psychological Counselling Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

GUWAHATI: The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on physical, mental as well as emotional well being of citizens across the country. 

To help people emerge out of such psychological problems, the Government of Assam is now providing support to people. 

Those seeking any such kind of support and assistance can now consult emotional wellness experts appointed by the state government.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) in collaboration with Common Service Centre – Special Purpose Vehicle (CSC-SPV) of CSC E-Governance Services India Limited, is offering free counselling to help people in quarantine facilities, government employees, students and all other citizens.

The initiative aims to help citizens deal with psychological concerns and anxieties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The service is available in Assamese, Hindi and English languages which can be availed by calling Toll Free Numbers – 1070, 1077 and 1079 or by downloading CSC Health App from the Google Play Store.
