GUWAHATI: The General Administration Department of the Government of Assam has issued a notification, granting State Government employees the opportunity to avail Special Casual Leave under the Matri Pitri Vandana Scheme. This initiative aims to facilitate employees in honoring their parents on the occasion of Matri Pitri Vandana.

The notification, bearing eCF No. 169397/6, allows State Government employees to utilise Special Casual Leave on 6 and 8 November 2024 for Matri Pitri Vandana. Employees have the flexibility to combine these leaves with 7 November 2024 (Chhat Puja), 9 November 2024 (Saturday), and 10 November 2024 (Sunday) to extend their time for paying homage to their parents.

To apply for this Special Casual Leave, all State Government employees are required to submit their requests through the dedicated portal: https://matripitrivandana.assam.gov.in. The notification further specifies that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines pertaining to the aforementioned Special Casual Leave will be provided to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme.
