Assam Government Announces Promotions Of Five Senior ACS Officials

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has promoted several Assam Civil Service (ACS) officials to higher ranks on Monday, November 11. Among those promoted are Mahmood Hassan, Deba Kumar Mishra, Ranoj Kumar Borkataky, Diganta Das, and Pranati Majumdar.

Mahmood Hassan, who serves as Secretary to the Government of Assam in the Administrative Reforms & Training, Pension & Public Grievances Department, has been promoted to the rank of Commissioner & Secretary (ACS Cadre) to the Government of Assam. 

Deba Kumar Mishra, the District Commissioner of Kamrup and CEO of Guwahati Biotech Park and Assam Biotechnology Council (Addl), has also been promoted to the grade of Secretary (ACS Cadre) and will retain his current roles. 

Similarly, Ranoj Kumar Borkataky, Director of Tourism, Assam, has been promoted to the grade of Secretary (ACS Cadre) while continuing in his position as Director of Tourism.

Further promotions include Diganta Das, Joint Secretary in the Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs Department, and MD, Assam Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (Addl), who will now serve in the Selection Grade of ACS as Additional Secretary in the same department. 

Pranati Majumdar, currently Joint Secretary in the Agriculture Department, has also been promoted to the Selection Grade and will take on the role of Additional Secretary within the Agriculture Department.
