A.P Tiwari, MD, Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) on Monday inaugurated the first of its kind electric bus in Guwahati.
The bus will ply from Paltan Bazar to Kamakhya for the initial 7 days. Passengers can avail a free service for the 7 days.
The bus will have facilities like - mobile charger, wi-fi, AC, and comfortable seats.
With this move, ASTC has become the first transport corporation in the entire Northeast to have launched this service.
