Assam Floods: Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas Donate for Flood Relief

GUWAHATI: With philanthropists from across the country donating to Assam floods, the power couple Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas too have stepped forward to make donations for flood victims of Assam.

“While we are dealing with the global pandemic, the Indian state of Assam has been grappling with another major crisis. It has been devastated by floods triggered by heavy monsoon showers affecting lives of millions. The impact to life and land/property is unimaginable. The rapidly rising water level has also flooded the Kaziranga National park, one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in the world,” wrote the actress in her Instagram story talking to her fans.

“They need our attention and support. I’m sharing details of a few credible organizations that are doing some good work on the ground in Assam, and Nick and I have made a donation each. Let us support them so they can continue to help those in need,” she wrote further.

The couple, however, did not mention the amount of money donated by them.

Nick Jonas shared the same story on his Instagram urging his fans to come forward in support of the Assam flood victims too.

The couple has previously made donations to the PM Cares fund and other global charities alongside UNICEF to help daily wage workers and their families amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas was the brand ambassador of Assam and has featured in many initiatives to promote Assam tourism.
