Assam Floods: Brahmaputra river continues to exceed danger level in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The water level of Brahmaputra river at DC Court in Guwahati was measured at 51.16 meters at 9 a.m. this morning, July 16.
 
Presently, it is still above the prescribed danger level of 49.68 meters.

However, the water level is expected to fall to 51.12 metres by noon tomorrow, July 17.
 
It should be noted that the highest flood level was recorded in 2004 at 51.46 meters.
