Assam: Five Held In The Two Minors Sexual Abuse Incident In Bongaigaon

GUWAHATI: Bongaigaon police have arrested five people for allegedly forcing two minors to engage in explicit acts, recording it on video and then circulating it.
The incident occurred on May 18 when some video clips appeared showing a minor boy and a girl along with some adults, who were videographing the act.  Police initiated a probe soon after.

Preliminary investigation revealed the location near Borjhora waterfall in Bongaigaon. The five people were then detained. They have been identified as  Biraj Rabha, Sunit Rabha, Sebo Sarkar, Dalim Barman, and Jiren Sarkar.

The accused have confessed to having committed the crime. They revealed that the children had gone there on a trip. Finding the children at a secluded spot, the accused allegedly forced them into intimate acts, which they captured on video and subsequently circulated.

A police case under various sections of the IPC, POCSO Act, and IT Act has been registered in this connection. 

Talking to GPlus, the Bongaigaon SP said that the accused have been remanded to three-day police custody.
