GUWAHATI: Pradip Kr Ghosh, an artisan from Assam’s Dhubri district, has created the smallest Durga Idol of this season.

A private tutor by profession, Ghosh made the idol using bathing soap, which is of mere 2.25 inch in length.

The idol will be set for display at the puja pandal of Sabuj Sangha Durga Puja Committee located in Raja Prabhat Chandra Barua Playground of Dhubri town.

The artisan has been making Durga idols using coconuts, bagasse (sugarcane waste), plastic bottles and vegetables since 1992.

Last year, he created a 6-foot-tall Durga idol made of sugarcane waste which garnered a lot of attention in the town.
