GUWAHATI: DARPAN, the online admission portal, created by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, has issued a new notification for online admissions to Higher Secondary (HS) the first year.
The notification, which was released on Friday said for the smooth conduct of admission into HS first year, the deadline of the admission process has been extended.
As per the new notification, the admission process will now be operational up to July 8.
The DARPAN notification said the option of removal of students will be available on the portal from July 1.
With this option, institutions may remove students from the selection list who have accepted the admission and have not taken admission.
With the update, institutions can now add students from the waiting list to the selection list. Students who had applied for admission but didn’t get selected may apply again for admission into other institutions up to July 4, the notification said.
It was also clarified that the institutions shall not conduct offline admissions under any circumstances.
