GUWAHATI: Assam Congress unit president and MP Ripun Bora has offered to resign from his post after his party suffered a massive defeat in the just concluded 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Bora has sent in his resignation to party president Rahul Gandhi.

As per reports, Bora took the responsibility for the poor performance of the party in Assam.
It should be mentioned that Congress only managed to win 3 out of 14 seats in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections in Assam.
