GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, has ordered an inquiry into the leak of question paper of the written test for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Assam Police.
The exam was scheduled to be held on Sunday last.
The Chief Minister directed DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta to expeditiously conduct the inquiry into the leak of the question paper of the recruitment examination to fork out the culprits.
Chief Minister Sonowal further directed DGP Mahanta to investigate if any vested interest group conspired to derail the recruitment process taken up by the state government and ensure strict action against the guilty.
Earlier, the written test for recruitment for SI of police (UB) in Assam Police, scheduled to be held from 12 pm on Sunday, September 20, was cancelled as the question paper was leaked.
