GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party has been leading in three out of four constituencies in Assam by-polls. The party is leading in Rangapara, Ratabari, and Sonari, while AIUDF is leading in Jania constituency.
In Rangapara, BJP candidate Rajen Borthakur is leading with 11,139 votes, whereas in Ratabari, Bijoy Malakar is leading with 8,800 votes. From Sonari, Nabanita Handique is leading with 978 votes.
Meanwhile, in AIUDF candidate Rafiqul Islam is leading in Jania in the initial stage of the counting.
