GUWAHATI: Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on February 12 announced a visionary project in the Budget for 2024-25—the establishment of the "Mukhya Mantri Sangrahalaya" to celebrate the rich democratic history of Assam.
Envisioned to be a state-of-the-art museum, this cultural landmark is set to capture the essence of leadership, challenges, and triumphs of each Chief Minister who has played a pivotal role in shaping the state.
The Mukhya Mantri Sangrahalaya, slated to be located in the Amrit Kaal region of Guwahati, goes beyond being a conventional museum. It aspires to be a living testament to Assam's democratic journey, serving as an educational and inspirational hub for generations to come. The museum aims not only to preserve the historical milestones of the past Chief Ministers but also to ignite a sense of pride in the democratic roots of the state.
