GUWAHATI: Lovlina Borgohain, a boxer from Assam has bagged a gold medal in the 3rd Elite Women’s National Boxing Championship at Vijaynagar on Sunday, January 6. Borgohain defeated Puja of Railways 5-0 in the 69kg category.
Two other players from Assam, Pwilao Basumatary and Bhagyabati Kachari also bagged silver medals in the tournament.
The boxing tournament was held in Bellary, Karnataka.
