GUWAHATI: The Assam Badminton Association conducted its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, December 15 in Guwahati. During the meeting, new office-bearers and executive members were elected for the upcoming term.

Himanta Biswa Sarma was re-elected as the President of the association, with Tuliram Ronghang also retaining the position of Working President. The position of Senior Vice-President was entrusted to Partha Sarathi Mahanta, IPS, while Mallika Baruah Sarma was named Advisor.
Among the Vice-Presidents, notable appointments include MLA Taranga Gogoi, Pradip Kr Hazarika, L. Hemanta Singh, Badan Ch. Bora, Binit Gogoi. Ritubaran Sarmah, Iftikar Ali, B Puranjay Sarma, Pranab Jyoti Gogol, and Amitav Dey.
Omar Rashid and Gautam Mahanta were elected as Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer, respectively.
The Joint Secretaries include Digonta Burhagohain, Navroze Munwar, Nabajyoti Bora,Rituraj Chetla,and Hemanta Kr. Das. Moreover, Abhijit Baruah, Bidyut Bikash Deuri, Imtiazur Rahman, Mayur Bora, and Anil Das will serve as Assistant Secretaries.
Additionally, the position of Office Secretary has been assigned to Upen Chakraborty. The executive committee features a group of members, including Basanta Deka, Madhab Bora, Muktar Hussain, Bikram Sinha, and Bhupen Phukan.
