GUWAHATI: The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) is set to launch pink buses under the Bhraman Sarathi scheme.
These pink buses will be available specifically for female and senior citizens.

In the first phase of the scheme, a total of 25 such buses will ply in Guwahati.
"The scheme was launched by the BJP government to provide safe and comfortable rides for women commuters and elder commuters," Ashok Bhattarai, Chairman, ASTC told G Plus.
He added that the work for colouring and branding is currently ongoing and the buses are expected to be launched by December end.
Bhattarai also informed G Plus that pink buses will be launched in other routes as well in the upcoming phases.
