Assam Architects’ Meet To Focus On Environment-Friendly Design

 

GUWAHATI: The Association of Architects Assam (AAA) will host the AAA Conclave 2024 in Kaziranga from September 27 to 29, with the theme of "Integrating Nature in Sustainable Architecture."

This event will gather over 150 architects, industry leaders, and sustainability experts from across India to discuss the pressing need for environmentally conscious design. It will also feature distinguished speakers, including Prof. Ar. Abhay Purohit, President of the Council of Architecture (COA), who will be the Guest of Honour.

Participants in the conclave will focus on topics such as integrating natural elements into architectural design, urban sustainability, and the importance of environmentally responsible infrastructure. The event will further include special presentations from Creative Group, a segment dedicated to Kaziranga National Park, and the release of the Conclave Journal.

Additionally, an exhibition of products and information from event partners will be featured.

Pankaj Phukan, General Secretary of AAA, highlighted the importance of hosting the event in Northeast India, emphasising the region’s contributions to sustainable architecture. "Our themes underscore the urgent need for greener development, fostering professional collaboration and strengthening bonds among architects," he said.

The AAA Conclave 2024 promises to be an impactful event for Kaziranga, advancing discussions on sustainability in the architectural field.
