Assam: Ahead of I-Day, Crude Bombs Recovered From Hailakandi and Barpeta

GUWAHATI: Ahead of the Independence Day, Assam police recovered hand-made bombs in two separate incidents in the state.

On August 4, Barpeta Police lead by DSP Amrit, recovered a hand-made bomb from one Kamal Uddin’s residence in Sukhowarjhar village in Barpeta. The bomb was kept under a pile of hay.

In the meanwhile on August 5, another hand-made bomb was recovered from Hailakandi in Jamira Village. The bomb was recovered near one Jamaluddin's residence. 

According to reports, the locals in the area saw the bomb and immeditaly informed the police.

It is to be mentioned that earlier on August 3, three suspected members of the banned Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) were arrested from Barpeta.
