GUWAHATI: The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is open for the "PM YASASVI Central Sector Scheme of Top-Class Education in Schools for OBC Students" for the 2024-25 academic year on Wednesday, September 24. Eligible students can apply until September 30, 2024.

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community and be enrolled in Top-Class Schools- defined as those with a consistent 100% pass rate in both 10th and 12th grades. The family income of applicants must also be less than ₹2.5 lakh per year.
The scholarship offers financial assistance of Rs. 75,000 for students in Class 9 and Rs. 1,25,000 for those in Class 11.
Interested students must register on the NSP portal through the "NSP OTR" app available on Google Play. As part of the process, face authentication is required to generate a One-Time Registration (OTR) number, which is mandatory for the application.
Furthermore, applicants must use an Aadhaar-linked mobile number to generate the OTR. If a minor applicant does not have Aadhaar, their parents can provide their Aadhaar details instead.
Additionally, applicants should provide an active bank account linked to their Aadhaar number to ensure successful scholarship payment via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
