Anand Mishra Describes News On Non-Acceptance Of His Resignation As ‘Rumour’

 

GUWAHATI: The news of the Assam Government not accepting the resignation of IPS officer Anand Mishra has gone viral on the social media. But, the IPS officer has himself described the viral news as ‘rumour’.  

It was reported by a section of the media that the resignation of Lakhimpur Superintendent of Police Anand Mishra has not been accepted by the Assam government.

Mishra taking to X on Tuesday has refuted all claims, and described them as ‘rumour’. He has also requested the media not spread rumours about his resignation not being accepted by the Assam Government.

Anand Mishra has also in the statement requested to allow relinquishment of charge to help proceed, pending official notification.

“Requesting everyone, including some media houses, not to spread Rumours about my Resignation not being accepted or me Withdrawing it! I have myself requested to allow relinquishment of Charge to help me proceed, pending official notification,” the message on X read.

The 2011 batch IPS officer was working as the SP of Lakhimpur.
