GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with Tourism Minister of the State Chandan Brahma headed a review meeting with regards to the upcoming Ambubachi Mela, to be held in Kamakhya Temple.
The festival will be held from 22nd June until 25th June, 2018.
Sonowal in the meeting directed respective Department of District Administration to take responsibility for the smooth conduct of the prestigious festival.
He also announced that no NGO's will be allowed to distribute any food to devotees.
Further adding to this, he mentioned that, Prasad and food will be made inside the temple premises and would be served to all the devotees only after through quality checks.
To make this event chaos free, City Police will be deployed in and around Nilachal Hill.
