GUWAHATI: All government offices will begin functioning from April 21, including the Assam Secretariat, informed chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna on April 20.
“For the secretariat, all officials from the post of deputy secretary and above are to attend mandatorily. For directorates, the assistant director and above officials are to attend and assistant commissioner and above are to attend for other corporations,” he said.
Further, only 33 percent third and fourth grade employees will be allowed to attend, for which the higher officials will make roosters.
Additionally, Krishna mentioned that all government offices and PSUs will have to provide transportation to employees and no private or officials vehicles will be allowed during the lockdown period.
Further, the Assam secretariat will take no visitors till May 3. Any person with any issues will have to contact the control room or police and district authorities.
