GUWAHATI: As the festival of lights, Diwali, is approaching, a huge quantity of explosives was recovered from a bus in Meghalaya’s Khliehriat area in East Jaintia Hills district on Thursday, October 17.
As per reports, 5900 packets of explosives, 112 kgs of detanators and 113 meters of detonator wire were recovered from two passengers who were travelling at the night-super. The bus was travelling from Karimganj to Guwahati.
According to reports, following interrogation, the accused stated that they were taking the explosives to Karbi Anglong.
