GUWAHATI: The All Assam Students' Union (AASU) and its 28 allied organisations representing various ethnic communities have called upon the people of the Sate to take part in the mass satyagraha programme at the Latasil playground on June 29.
AASU has been blaming the Central government of derailing the process of the NRC by discarding the Assam Accord.
The student body has been demanding100 per cent reservation for the indigenous people and the land rights (patta).
Earlier, AASU and 28 organizations has announced a series of protests against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 and demanded of an error-free National Register of Citizens (NRC).
