The process of issuing Aadhaar Card will begin in Assam from February this year.
Distribution of Aadhaar Card will take place in 33 districts of Assam from 7995 centres under the Gram Panchayat. A total of 28 Aadhaar Seva Kendras will also be established across the State.
The Aadhaar process was earlier scheduled to be completed by 31st December 2017, which was later delayed due to lack of manpower.
