5 Entrepreneurs from Northeast get National Entrepreneurship Awards

GUWAHATI: Five young entrepreneurs from the northeast have won the National Entrepreneurship Awards 2018 in New Delhi organized by the Union Ministry of Skill Development. 

The entrepreneurs are Tana Sumpa, Dulu Moni Kalita, Rahul Baruah and Anupam Nath, Vanramhlimpuii and Maipaksana Rajkumar. 

They were honoured at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on Friday for their amazing contribution towards nation building through their entrepreneurial ventures.

Each awardee received a cash price of Rs. 5,00,000, a certificate and a trophy. The event was conferred in the presence of Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation, Anant Kumar Hegde, Minister of State for Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), and Dr. KP Krishnan, Secretary, MSDE and Jyotsna Sitling, Joint Secretary, MSDE. 

One of the entrepreneur groups, Rahul Baruah and Anupam Nath are from Assam. They are the founders of www.getkraft.in, an e-commerce platform dedicated to connecting artists from various areas of Northeast India.
