GUWAHATI: Assam boy from Basugaon, Saurav Chordia, has designed the patch for the Golden Arrow squadron which will be resurrected with the new Rafale fighter jets.
The 3D graphic Designer who is currently working with a gaming firm in Delhi has previously designed patches for many other units such as the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and the Tejas Squadron.

“I’m a civilian who was assigned the task by the squadron to design a patch exclusively for the unit. This will be the first squadron with Rafale jets in Indian Air Force (IAF),” said Saurav.
“Last year before Rajnath Singh went to France, the squadron gave me this task. I embedded their logo on the patch which is Golden Arrows along with their symbol of the Himalayan Eagle and the Rafale Jet with a touch of Indian colours,” he added.
The Rafale fighter jets will soon be inducted in the Indian Air Force. The fighter jets are said to have the capacity to increase the defence force’s capabilities and firepower multiple times.
The advanced jets are also tipped to increase India’s strength in the south Asian region.
These fighter jets have left France and will soon form the new 17th squadron of Indian Air Force named Golden Arrow after their arrival on July 29.
