39 COVID-19 Patients Discharged Today all Over Assam

GUWAHATI: The Assam government today, June 5 discharged 39 COVID-19 patients after they tested negative for the novel coronavirus twice.

Taking to Twitter, Assam Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma announced, "39 patients have been discharged today after they tested negative for #COVID twice."

Out of these, 13 persons were released from Mahendra Mohan Chowdhury Hospital (MMCH), Guwahati; 11 were released from Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH); 5 from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH); 6 from Golaghat Civil Hospital; 3 from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) and 1 from Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh.

With this the total number of patients cured of the virus has gone up to 498 with 1,648 active cases and the total number of cases of COVID-19 in Assam stands at 2,153.
