33 Pension Sewa Kendras To Be Transferred To Assam Education Department For Increased Efficiency

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government has approved the proposal of transferring the management of 33 Pension Sewa Kendras (PSKs), in order to improve the digital footprint of pension processing, during the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, August 13.

Effective from September 1, 2024, the management of 33 Pension Sewa Kendras (PSKs) will be transferred from the Department of Administrative Reforms, Training, Pension, and Public Grievances (ARTPPG) to the Department of School Education.

PSKs will be run by permanent employees from the Education Department, which is expected to improve service quality and accountability.
