GUWAHATI: The Cachar Police have seized narcotics worth an estimated ₹20 crore during a high-stakes operation in Meherpur, Silchar.

The operation led to the confiscation of 386 grams of heroin and 60,000 Yaba tablets, a powerful synthetic stimulant often smuggled across the northeastern borders. Authorities have confirmed that one drug peddler was arrested during the raid.
The arrested individual is currently in custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the broader network behind the smuggling operation.
