GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police teams apprehended several suspects involved in theft and robbery cases, leading to the recovery of stolen goods and the seizure of vehicles used in the crimes.
An East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) team from Dispur Police Station solved a recent theft case with the arrest of two individuals. Himangshu Barman (20) from Goreswar and Rupam Rabha (26) from Chachal were apprehended following an investigation into the theft of household items. The police recovered a television and a blanket from their possession.

In addition to the recovered items, the police also seized two e-rickshaws allegedly used by the suspects during the commission of the crime. Legal proceedings have been initiated against Barman and Rabha.
In another operation, a team from the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) Azara Police Station arrested Ramesh Daimary, also known as Raju (35), from his residence in Dakhin Kumarikata, Tamulpur. Daimary was wanted in connection with multiple robbery cases across the city.

From Daimary's possession, the police seized one car and two mobile phones. Legal action has been initiated against Daimary.
