Guwahati May Get Direct Flights To Dhaka, Kathmandu, Bangkok & Singapore

 

GUWAHATI: In a move towards enhancing international air connectivity from Guwahati, Assam Transport Minister Keshab Mahanta held a pivotal meeting with top executives of Air India Express in Guwahati. The discussions focused on the airline’s plans to expand its network with new direct flights connecting Guwahati to major international destinations.

Air India Express, a low-cost carrier, has expressed strong interest in launching several new direct flight routes from Guwahati. The proposed routes include:

•    Guwahati to Dhaka
•    Guwahati to Kathmandu
•    Guwahati to Singapore
•    Guwahati to Bangkok

This expansion aims to position Guwahati as a key hub for international travel in this part of the country. During the meeting, Mahanta engaged in detailed discussions with Sunil Joshi, Head of Corporate Affairs at Air India Express, and Shashi Chetia, Head of Network Planning and Alliances at Air India Express.
