Guwahati: Several Shops Damaged In Dharapur Fire

 

GUWAHATI: Several shops were damaged in a fire amidst heavy rainfall near Dharapur Chariali on Sunday, June 30.

Around 7 shops were damaged during the incident and the reason behind it is yet to be ascertained. The situation was brought under control by personnel of the Pandu Fire and Emergency Safety Services (F&ESS) and Azara Police Station. 

While speaking to GPlus, an official from Pandu F&ESS said, "The incident was reported at 10:50 PM and it took around 1.5 hours to handle the situation completely. The rain was an added benefit."
