GUWAHATI: In a recent operation, the Special Task Force (STF) successfully seized 29,000 Yaba tablets with an estimated value of ₹7.25 crore at Katahbari, located under the jurisdiction of Gorchuk Thana in Guwahati city. The operation also resulted in the arrest of two individuals from the rented residence of the suspected drug peddlers.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mujakkir Hussain, a resident of Katahbari, and Saiful Islam from Bhella under Barpeta Thana. The operation, led by STF officers Parthasarathi Mahanta and Kalyan Pathak, unfolded at a rented house in Katahbari.
The STF team acted on intelligence and executed the operation, successfully apprehending the suspects. The arrested individuals are now in custody and will face legal proceedings for their alleged involvement in the illicit drug trade.
