GUWAHATI: A total of 202 Sand Boas were seized and two smugglers apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) under the Guwahati Frontier during a special operation on Thursday, May 1, along the Indo-Bangladesh international border in Assam’s Dhubri district.

The operation was carried out by the 66 Battalion of the BSF. According to official sources, the reptiles were concealed in sacks and were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
Following the apprehension, the two individuals and the seized Sand Boas were handed over to the Dhubri Forest Department for further legal action.
