Above 100 plus establishments and commercial spaces have been served show cause notice by the District Administration for allegedly flouting safety norms.
PVR multiplex, which was built on Dona Planet after Cinemax multiplex was shut by the District Administration earlier in 2015, is one among the spaces that are served the notice.
"The notice was served after the district administration did a check of the unsafe establishments in the city. If not provided any statment of safety check within seven days of serving the notice, their license will be cancelled," M. Angamuthu, Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner told G Plus.
Until the establishments provides a reply to the notices, their licenses remain suspended and will not be open for any commercial activites.
PVR remains shut as of now.
