GUWAHATI: One youth was killed due to electrocution and two others injured when they were installing BJP flags in Silchar on January 3.
The deceased was identified as Montosh Das.
The deceased was helping in sticking up the BJP flags when he came into contact with a live high-voltage electrical wire at Chittaranjan Avenue in Silchar town.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Silchar on January 4 and kick-start BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Silchar.
