GUWAHATI: In an operation conducted today, May 1, the Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 20,000 YABA tablets in the Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Railway Station.

Today at around 7 am, a check was conducted on Train no. - 20503 (Rajdhani Express) as two persons were apprehended in possession of a total of 100 packets (50 each) containing 20,000 suspected YABA Tablets (10,000 tablets each).

The carriers were travelling from Dimapur to Coochbehar (WB) in Coach no- A2, Seat no- 31 & 32.
The persons have been identified as Sumitra Barman (aged 35) and Mamoni Ray (aged 40) who have been taken into custody.
Necessary legal actions have been initiated and further details on the case are awaited.
