GUWAHATI: A young man was discovered dead in a lodge at Six Mile, Guwahati, on March 5.

The deceased has been identified as Mrinal Medhi, a resident of Chandmari.
Medhi had checked into a room in Brahmaputra Lodge on Tuesday evening. Around midnight, the hotel staff received a call from his girlfriend, prompting them to check on him. Upon entering the room, they found him unresponsive.
Talking to GPlus, a police official from Dispur police station said, “The incident is a case of suicide, possibly linked to personal issues. But, we are investigating the matter.”
Further details are awaited to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
