GUWAHATI: A man identified as Raju Dey has died from severe injuries at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) following an alleged assault in the Pandu area on Wednesday, March 5. His son, Rajdeep Dey, has filed an FIR at Jalukbari Police Station, accusing a man named Amulya Rajbongshi of murder.

According to the reports, Rajdeep received a call from an unidentified person informing him that his father had been found unconscious and injured near a grocery shop. The injured man was initially taken to Boripara Hospital but was later referred to GMCH due to the severity of his condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
An official from Jalukbari Police Station speaking to GPlus, confirmed the incident, stating, “A confrontation had taken place between the two men, resulting in critical injuries to Raju Dey. Following the FIR, the accused, Amulya Rajbongshi, was arrested. Investigations are ongoing.”
