GUWAHATI: The lifeless body of a woman was found in a locked house in the Lalung village, located in the Lokhra area of Guwahati.
The deceased had reportedly rented the house with her husband and son, merely a week ago.
As per reports, the discovery was made by the house owner, who suspected something suspicious due to the property being inaccessible for the past three days.
Upon noticing the prolonged absence and growing concern, the house owner decided to intervene and forcibly gained entry into the locked residence, reports stated.
As per reports, both her husband and their son were nowhere to be found, prompting suspicions and raising questions regarding their involvement in the incident.
The Gorchuk Police while speaking to G Plus said that they were informed about the incident at 4 PM today and they have initiated an investigation.
