GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Jal Board has suspended water supply to areas served by the Amiya Nagar, Ramsa Hill and Leechubagan reservoirs due to technical issues encountered during testing procedures aimed at enhancing pipeline security.

The disruption, which began last night, is attributed to efforts to prevent leakages and pipeline disruptions. The residents have been assured that that water supply will resume by January 8, across all affected Distribution Management Areas (DMAs).
Citizens in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements until the issue is resolved.
