GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water (GMDW) and Sewage Board (SB) have announced a temporary water supply interruption across various areas from November 15 to 17. This planned shutdown will affect all DMAs served by the Amiya Nagar, Leechubagan, and Ramsahill Reservoirs.

Areas to be impacted include Amiya Nagar, Chandmari, Rajgarh, Lachit Nagar, Ulubari, and Greater Zoo Road, among others, spanning districts under the Amiya Nagar, Leechubagan, and Ramsahill Reservoirs. Specific locations like Shreenagar, MT Road, Ambikagiri Nagar, and Silpukhuri will also experience this disruption.
This temporary shutdown is said to be a part of an infrastructure upgrade to remove pipeline loops and extend services to new areas which is set to be completed by the end of this month.
