Vote Counting Underway In Guwahati Constituency

 

GUWAHATI: The BJP was leading in 8 seats in Assam at 10 AM, and the Congress was leading in 3, AGP in 1, and UPPL in 1, on June 4.

Earlier the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 kicked off at 8 AM across the country, on Tuesday.

BJP is leading in Darrang-Udalguri, Guwahati, Diphu, Silchar, Kaziranga, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh.

Congress is leading in Jorhat, Nagaon and Dhubri.

UPPL is leading in Kokrajhar.

AGP is leading in Barpeta.

In Guwahati, counting is being held at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre for the Guwahati constituency. 

The key candidates from Guwahati are BJP's Bijuli Kalita Medhi and Congress's Mira Borthakur Goswami.

On May 7, Guwahati went to the polls in the third phase of the election along with three other constituencies in Assam.

In Assam, vote counting is underway for 14 Lok Sabha constituencies at 52 counting centres spread across 50 election districts.

The Lok Sabha Election 2024 was held from April 19 to June 1.
