GUWAHATI: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has announced admissions for the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) programme at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) centres in Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, and Tezpur.
These centres are under the purview of NIELIT Guwahati, a central institution. As an added convenience, hostel facilities are available at select locations.
The three-year BCA programme is affiliated with the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU), Government of Assam. The last date of admission is September 30, 2023.
Candidates interested in enrolling in the BCA programme must have passed the 10+2 examination in Science/Arts/Commerce with a minimum aggregate score of 45 per cent (40 per cent for reserved categories). Preference will be given to those with Computer Science or Mathematics as subjects in their 10+2 curriculum.
Alternatively, candidates with a Diploma in Engineering from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) recognised institute are also eligible. Each of the NIELIT centres in Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, and Tezpur has a total of 20 available seats for the BCA programme.
