GUWAHATI: The much-awaited unveiling ceremony of the prestigious Durand Trophies is set to take place tomorrow, July 15, at the elegant Radisson Blu Hotel. The event, starting at 11.30 AM, will witness the presence of Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, who will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Joining the Chief Minister on this momentous occasion will be Nandita Gorlosa, the Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Assam. Adding further significance to the event, Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Indian Army's Eastern Command, will also grace the ceremony, alongside other dignitaries.
Following the unveiling ceremony, the Durand Trophies will embark on a grand tour of the city's iconic landmarks for the next three days. Residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to witness these historical treasures at the following venues: the State War Memorial on July 15 and 16, and Cotton College on July 17.
